Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society’s Rural Institute of Ayurved Research Centre & Hospital - Medical collage Mayani, Satara

Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society was established by the founder president Dr. Mahadev Ramchandra Deshmukh, in 1992 & registered under Karnataka Society Register act 1960 with registration No. 5/92-93. The registered offices of the society are located at Dharwad, Karnataka State and Kolhapur, Maharashtra State. Administrative office of Society’s is located at Mayani Tal – Khatav Dist. – Satara. The society has established Medical College and Hospital at Mayani in 30 acres land. Dr. M.R. Deshmukh had observed the difficulties faced by the sick, belonging to the poor section of the rural society. He was moved by their sufferings and strongly felt that in order to alleviate their suffering it was necessary to provide all medical facilities under one roof, in the rural area itself. With this view in mind, he established a network of medical and paramedical institutions in Karnataka & Maharashtra.

Library is a ‘Soul’ of College. College has established central library.

Central library consist of one reading hall & four reading rooms. There are separate reading rooms for teaching staff.

We have subscribed national & international journals, WHO Global Subscription package, Central library had following facilities.


100 Bedded well equipped hospital with highly qualified medical staff, paramedical & Nursing staff.

Kshar-sutra which is very effective in piles & fistulas are prepared scientifically & applied by expert doctors in separate operation theatre.

Panchkarma most effective treatment of ayurveda popular at national & international level available in hospital under well trained doctors. Procedures like Snehana, Swedana, Rakta Mokshan, Leech Application, Basti, Shirodhara, Hrud Basti, Kati Basti etc. are regularly available for patients.
